If there was something she didn’t know, she was able to find the answers for us quickly. She is super personable and definitely cares about her clients. Our relationship with Stephanie Walker started with an informal, get acquainted and learn about our needs session – we found Stephanie to be amiable, insightful, very engaged and supportive on the call – so we decided to give her a try.

We began our home finding journey with a mutual list of potential homes that both my wife and I and Stephanie pulled together. Stephanie very thoughtfully planned out our first day of looking from an optimal logistics standpoint, making sure we had ample time to see the houses we wanted to see, spend the time we needed at each location, and she had reserved some time for us to have a nice lunch together at a local restaurant. From that first day of looking, we had several more and did a lot of back and forth consulting and assessing our list of targets. Throughout the entire engagement, Stephanie was a positive, joyful, and funny person to be around and even though I know she had several other engagements with other clients going on, we always felt like we were Stephanie’s number one priority.

Stephanie also goes the extra mile – let me give you a couple of examples. We had a challenging selling process on our farm – Stephanie went out of her way to advise us as we worked through that process, even though the sell side of our equation was not her responsibility – she just wanted to help us. Also, when we saw a couple of properties that we weren’t quite sure about, Stephanie volunteered to go and preview the homes for us – documenting what she observed in detail with videos she recorded on-site – she even wrangled her husband Wade in to help out. These actions really helped us build a strong sense of trust with Stephanie – something that was very important to us.

Stephanie is extremely knowledgeable about the areas in and around Lake Hartwell, and she used this knowledge to steer us in the right direction regarding everything from neighborhood ins and outs, property tax implications, properties to consider based on water access, etc, etc. And she never failed us when we needed help in sourcing services for us – it would go something like this – hey Stephanie, do you know anyone that does fences in the area – response – sure, here’s the name and number of who you can call. Or, hey Stephanie, do you know anybody who does fireplace mantels – response – of course, called my brother and here’s a good contact for you. This went on many times with us and she always had a connection for us to work with – that’s her networking skill coming through loud and clear.

The last thing I would like to touch on is attitude and advocacy. The real estate buying and selling experience has a lot at stake – you’re making a big decision and it can be emotionally draining – so you want to know the agent you’re working with is going to work hard for you to make the experience as pleasant as possible, and, that they are going to be 100% on your side – advocating on your behalf. Stephanie spent many years working in counseling in the education system – between developing strong advocacy and communication skills there and wrapping her natural sense of empathy around those skills, we always felt like Stephanie was our champion – in fact, we never once doubted it.

So, to sum it all up – the things we valued the most in an agent were trust, advocacy, networking, empathy and great communication skills – if this is what you value as well, then I can highly recommend Stephanie to you.
